The 1bedroom apartment has been completed renovated from scratch on 2016 and it will provide you with all the necessary facilities and modern amenities for a pleasant and memorable stay, all-year-round. It’s amazingly convenient location, only 150m away from the beach of Makry Gialos-Sitia, in a very quiet area, will provide you with all relaxation and calmness you are looking for your family or friend holidays.
Space
The house has its own artistic character inspired by the owner. The decoration is simple yet very eclectic with many details that will bring you memories from a different era. The apartment consists of a large living room with a reading area, a dining area with a table for up to 6 people and a big terrace where you can enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon drink along with the amazing view. There is also a modern and fully equipped kitchen with all necessary (oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine etc.). The bathroom is big and has all the essentials you going to need. The master bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe and a working space for adults and kids. All spaces have air-condition.
Guest access
All spaces of the apt are available ONLY for our guests! NO shared areas inside the apartments. The washing machine and the Iron/ ironing board are in a common store located in the lower level of the building.
Guest interaction
We are always in the apartment at guest arrival and we offer a welcome basket with bottle of mineral water, coffee, tea, milk, sugar, jam, butter, Raki (local drink) and Cretan sweet. A short briefing of the house and some startup details for places to visit is given. We provide full details of any place of interest if asked. We are always there at the departure to greet our guests!
Neighborhood overview
The house is located in the beautiful small village of Makry Gialos between Sitia and Ierapetra. Within a short distance of the apartment you will find the mini-markets, shops, the beach, cafe/bars, restaurants etc. The village's location is convenient as a base for excursions to popular landmarks such as the only palm forest in Europe, Vai, the Geopark of Sitia, the towns od Ierapetra and Sitia, picturesque villages like Myrtos, Palekastro, Zakros and unique beaches such as Erimoupolis, Diaskari, Xerokambos and courses to Chrisi and Koufonisi Islands.
Getting around
Hiring a car is not necessary but is recommended if you would like to explore the East part of Crete. The house is located 20m from an exit to the national road Sitia-Ierapetra.
