From the owner

The Coach House is a newly-renovated, spacious and contemporary dog-friendly cottage - the perfect base for a relaxing break.

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome. There is an additional charge of £25 per dog.

Downstairs, there is a fully fitted kitchen/dining room with fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and gas hob. A hallway leads to the downstairs bathroom with roll-top bath and over-bath shower, and the downstairs bedroom with king-size bed and double doors through to your own private garden.

Upstairs, you will find the galleried living area with comfy sofa and armchair, flat-screen Smart TV and Blu-ray DVD player.

There is dining space and crockery for up to 4 guests - why not rent The Coach House together with ourother cottage - The Stables and share your holiday with friends or family.

The cottage is suitable for babies and toddlers, and baby equipment is available upon request.

Our aim is to make our luxury self-catering accommodation in Malmesbury the most perfect relaxing romantic cottage for two. We aim to provide that little bit extra in The Coach House. When you arrive, you will be greeted with a welcome tray laden with home-made Aga cakes from The Rookery kitchen and a variety of local produce including wine from the Bow-in-the-Cloud vineyard at nearby Garsdon.

All the main internet grocery providers (Ocado, Tesco, Sainsburys) deliver to The Rookery, and if you book your delivery slot for the morning of your arrival, we will be very happy to unpack your shopping for you into your cottage in advance of your arrival. Please contact us to arrange.

We provide a selection of luxury toiletries for our guests, as well as fluffy white towels and extra-long bathrobes, all from The White Company.

Free wi-fi access is provided, along with full hi-definition FreeSat TV and Blu-ray/DVD player.

The cottage has a corporate membership to Westonbirt Arboretum, which you are able to use to enjoy free entry to the spectacular Arboretum as often as you wish during your stay.

If you have a baby, you may wish to take advantage of our babysitting service to enjoy an evening out. Please contact us for further details.

Why can't I call Owain and Jenny (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Owain and Jenny (the owner) a message.

If Owain and Jenny (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
