Nestled in the foothills of the Bhutan Himalayas, the Manas National Park is an UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, a Biosphere Reserve, and a Tiger Reserve. Home to critically endangered, endemic species like the Pygmy Hog (Porcula salvania), Hispid Hare (Caprolagus hispidus), Golden Langur (Tracypithecus geei), Red Panda (Ailurus fulgens) and Bengal Florican (Houbaropsis bengalensis), it also harbors other iconic species like the Tiger, Elephant, One horned Rhinoceros and the Clouded Leopard. It is an avian and butterfly wonderland.
The Sikhiri Cottages, nudging the Park boundary, on the banks of a perennial stream gurgling out of the Park, offers three exclusive, well furnished cottages, each capable of accommodating four adults in two double beds. Tailored for privacy with its own integral dining area, verandah, garden and bonfire area, it is embedded in a surrounding that has been painstakingly converted to a botanical paradise with rare and beautiful trees, shrubs, creepers and bamboos sourced from all over the world.
Activities that can be arranged include wildlife sighting excursions on vehicles, on elephant back or by rafting, drifting down on a 35 km stretch of the Manas river from the Bhutan border to the southern park boundary- a day long unique adventure.
