Welcome! Our 1 bedroom apt has beautiful outdoor space with herbs, fruit trees, exotic orchids & birds. Centrally located just a five minutes from Northern Caribbean University and the town centre. Wake up to the singing of tropical birds and slumber away to the fragrance of Trumpet flowers. Our home away from home apartment comes fully equipped with with all your essential needs including electric water heater with standby water tank and pumps. The weather in Mandeville is cool all year round so no need for air conditioning. Fans are in the apartments. Wifi is on the entire property. Just bring your clothes and food, and you are good to go. You can also send us your grocery list and we'll do the shopping for you.

Lots of outdoor dining spaces, benches and hammock for relaxation. Continental breakfast is served under the lychee tree on the front lawn or in the back patio between 8.30-9.00 AM. Please let us know if you have any special needs.

Public transportation is easily accessible just outside our gate during peak hours and end of road off peak. Knutsford Express Luxury Coach Service (book online) goes across the island including airports, and buses are also nearby. Great for intimate weddings.

Trish and Dale, I am quite dismayed and disturbed with the comments you have made here online, particularly so, after just reading the kind comments that you wrote in our guest book. These online comments are most upsetting considering the lengths to which we went to accommodate you and make your stay a pleasurable one. Starting with your arrival at 2AM in your rental car with 2 additional guests who were not apart of your booking and remained for 2 days at no additional charge and breakfast provided at a cost of $8 each and you asked to deduct from your security deposit. Further, your brother returned for 2 additional days, again at no additional charge. With regards to your comment of your partner being asked to do odd jobs, at no time have we ever asked any of our guests to do odd jobs or work of any sort nor did you and I have any conversation as mentioned in your online comments. Now in regards to the toilet overflow as you will recall on 3 different occasions we were forced to bring the plumber out to clear the toilet which in each instance was caused by large volumes of toilet paper and the last time a bar of soap stuck in the line. While we have hosted many guests over the years, you have managed an accomplishment that no other guests have achieved. The bar of soap being of particular interest given that we only provide liquid soaps on property. Furthermore, at the time of your departure we continued to extend every courtesy which included relocation of another paying guest in order to accommodate Dale to catch his flight at a later date for which we were not compensated. In regards to your statement that no cleaning services were provided, once again this is all false as you were the one that refused to allow housekeeping weekly access as you stated you do your daily cleaning. On a daily basis you were provided with fresh rolls of toilet paper as you stated that your partner uses quite a lot, garbage bags and every other day clean towels and linen as per your demand. Again, I am quite disturbed given the following comments in our guestbook written by you: "We had a relaxing 3 weeks. Thank you Lisa for making us feel welcome and thank you Josephine for the lovely traditional cooked breakfast. With happiest memories and kindest regards, Dale & Trish." I am not clear on what your objectives are with these online comments. While every guests has the right to give a favourable/unfavourable review, I would appreciate some degree of fairness in your exercising this right. Your comments here online do not reflect the lengths to which you were accommodated. Notwithstanding we went the extra mile to make your stay memorable by hosting a Japanese Birthday Dinner Party with chop sticks and bowls with Yuki and friends (Japanese guests) who graciously prepared miso soup, seaweed salads, sushi, Japanese pancakes etc. to Dale's pescetarian and your vegetarian needs, with a grand finale of Josephine singing Happy Birthday while I brought out the candle lit specially ordered Lychee Birthday Cake (double layer 8"x12") and all the other guests joined in and toasted with the wines AT NOT COST TO YOU. Please check Instagram #casadabuenavistabnb and Facebook as other guests posted pictures, and also the Tripadvisor review before yours and on Booking.com as the guests were all here at the same time with you. I hope that you both had a pleasant flight home and will share your many pictures (especially the birthday ones) with your friends and new found family in Clarendon. Warmest, Lisa

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Charmaine (the owner) a message.

If Charmaine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
