Wagait Beach Bush Retreat is a fully self-contained, self serviced 2 bedroom house on a secluded one acre block close to the quiet and picturesque beaches of Wagait Beach and Cox Peninsula.

Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the house is set amongst natural bushland and tropical gardens. You will see an abundance of birdlife, many wallabies and lots of other native wildlife.

The property is architecturally designed to make the most of our wonderful tropical climate, easy going lifestyle and views of natural bushland.

Guests have a unique opportunity to unwind within close proximity to Darwin. Wagait Beach is an easy 128km drive from Darwin on fully sealed roads or just 15 minutes across the harbour if travelling by ferry. Pickups/transfers from the ferry are available on request.

Wagait Beach Bush Retreat offers guests the perfect location to escape the humdrum of urban living. With peace and tranquillity in abundance it is easy to forget that the rest of the world exists when you are staying at Wagait Beach Bush Retreat!!!

It is a common compliment from our guests. We purposely don't provide a DVD player, essentially to encourage guests to absorb the natural surroundings, reconnect with each other and enjoy some electronic down time.     How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I cancel my booking?

    Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Chris & Sue (the owner) a message.

    If Chris & Sue (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
