How to get there
By Train:
Getting to Rye by train is an easy way to travel, Rye Station is about a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage. Trains leave St Pancras for Ashford frequently and then you need to change to pick up the Marsh line which is a pretty route across Romney Marsh to Rye. Approximate journey time 1 hour 30 minutes. Alternatively, you leave from Charing Cross, via Hastings or Ashford, which takes slightly longer.

Getting around
The town is small enough to easily explore on foot. Lots of trails and cycle paths linking local villages are easily accessed from Rye. The Railway station in the town has trains running to Hastings, Brighton, Eastbourne, Ashford and connections to London, if you fancy a day trip to the capital. A car is handy if you wish to explore further afield.
