How to get there

from Europe to Aqaba Otherwise you can fly to Amman, the capital of Jordan (daily from Heathrow) and combine Wadi Rum and Aqaba with other top-level locations, including the Dead Sea, the Baptism site, Jerusalem, Petra, Mount Nebo, Jerrash, Makawir (Herod's Castle), etc etc.

Or you can travel south immediately for a warm and relaxing holiday in the splendour of Wadi Rum and on the shores of the Red Sea at Aqaba.

It is possible to fly internally in Jordan, or to travel by express coach from Amman to Aqaba; and after that to use local taxis (we have a very reliable taxi-driver in Aqaba) which are not expensive.
The best way to explore and enjoy Jordan is to hire a car and again we can help with that.
Wadi Rum itself is about 40 minutes drive from Aqaba, off the main desert highway that heads north to Amman
