How to get there

The Chamonix valley sits at the foot of Mont Blanc in the heart of the French Alps, displaying glaciers and breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains all around. Chamonix valley is ranked one of the top skiing and boarding resorts in the world and while Chamonix is famous for skiing in the winter, you may be surprised to hear that the summer time is just as popular - walking, hiking, rock climbing, paragliding, water rafting, mountain bike trails, even an 18 hole golf course! Not to mention major sports events such as the Mont Blanc Marathon and the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc.

Getting around

Situated in a quiet area on Route des Pelerins, Les Pelerins apartment is an easy 15 minute walk into the very centre of Chamonix. There is a small shopping centre only 500m from the Chamonix accommodation with a small supermarket, pharmacy and bakery, while 10 minutes' walk in the direction of the town centre brings you to the nearest restaurants and bars. 5 minutes further and you have all of Chamonix's restaurants, shops and bars to choose from. There is a bus stop 300m from the apartment where you can catch the ski bus to all ski areas. It's an easy walk into the town centre along a flat road but less mobile visitors, families with young kids or skiers with lots of kit might prefer to have a car for ease of access.
