We're about 7 minutes away from Blenheim Airport, with access to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown international airports, which we use ourselves on a regular basis. There are several car hire firms that operate out of the airport, with cars on site.

A regular ferry service operates between Wellington, in the North Island, and Picton, at the top of the South Island, allowing you to bring your car across the Cook Strait, should you wish. There are car hire firms in both these places as well..

The east coast road from Blenheim to Kaikoura (SH1), which was badly damaged in the November 2016 earthquake, will be reopened on 15th December 2017, in time for the busy tourist season ahead. There is a good network of roads that will take you all the way down the South Island, where you can fly out of either Christchurch or Queenstown.

There is ample room for parking outside the cottage.
