Departing from Naples there are daily connections (June to September) of hydrofoils SNAV company or company's ferries SIREMAR (only on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Departing from the port of Milazzo continuous connections exist with hydrofoils and ferries of the companies SIREMAR, USTICA LINES and NGI (navigation Generale Italiana) with departure from Catania airport link exists with bus (GIUNTA BUS) between the Catania airport and the port of Milazzo with departure from Reggio Calabria airport, shuttle to the port of R.C. and from there you can reach Lipari with direct hydrofoil (USTICA LINES).

From Palermo airport: after reaching the port of Palermo there connects with hydrofoil at Aeolian Islands archipelago.

In Lipari you can get in several ways: 1) by plane: airports of PALERMO and REGGIO CALABRIA continue directly with hydrofoil to Lipari.

From CATANIA Airport: use the bus servfizio (GIUNTABUS), which connects the airport of Catania to the port of Milazzo (travel time, approximately two hours); the port of Milazzo take ferries (SIREMAR-General Navigation Italian) or hydrofoil (SIREMAR-USTICA LINES).

2) in Lipari arrives twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday) the SIREMAR ferry departing from Naples on Tuesdays and Fridays at 20. Departing from Naples to Palermo with TIRRENIA ferries. In Palermo, you can use the hydrofoil to the Aeolian Islands and Milazzo can be reached where there are ferries and hydrofoils. Always departing from the port of Naples you can reach Catania TTTLINES with ferries and proceed, then, to Milazzo where there are ferries and hydrofoils. Departing from Salerno, you can reach the port of Messina by ferry CARONTETOURIST and then take the hydrofoil to Lipari.

3) you can arrive by train in the above stations for Milazzo or use of hydrofoils coming from Messina and Palermo 4) for those coming by car: take the highway Napoli-Reggio Calabria, exit at Villa San Giovanni (Reggio Calabria) ferry to Messina, take the Messina-Palermo motorway and exit at Milazzo; then embark on a ferry SIREMAR or ITALIAN GENERAL NAVIGATION. .
