How to get there
COT and other express lines run a regular bus service to Punta del Diablo from Montevideo centre and airort. If coming from Argentina in high season it is possible to fly from Buenos Aires to Punta del Este - approximately 150 km from Punta del Diablo. Driving is easy and there are a number of restaurants on the route. The Tienda Inglesa in Maldonaldo approximately 20 mins from the airport is the last big supermarket right on the road but there are others with a short detour in Punta del Este. Punta del Diablo has several restaurants and supermarkets which are open year round but there is obviously more selection in high season.

Getting around
The village is served by express bus service from Montevideo centre, airport and Brazil. If hiring a car at Carrasco, I would recommend Diego at Europcar, tell him I recommended you and you will get a better deal, the drive from the airport is less than 3 easy hours on well maintained roads. Once here, all of the village amenities are within walking distance, about 15 minutes walk along the beach. There are taxi services in Punta del Diablo and Alejandro can give you the number, or for the more active, bicycles can be rented locally and in high season, horse back riding is offered.
