Best airport to fly in to is Chania (CHQ) just 30 minutes from the villa, but Heraklion is the bigger airport at 1 hour 45 minutes away, but an easy, scenic drive. Souda Port provides a dock or cruise liners and the Athens ferry. For ferries to the other Greek islands you would need to go to Heraklion. There are buses from Almyrida in to Chania. Buses are available from Chania to Heraklion.A car is recommended. It is possible to walk down to Almyrida beach (with it's bars and restaurants) but it would be an uphill walk back.
