Driving to Sanxay is easiest from the Channel ports of St.Malo (3½ hours), Caen (4 hours) or Cherbourg (5 hours), leaving the A10 autoroute at Junction 31. Calais is a drive of about 6 hours.

Low cost airlines fly to Poitiers (25 mins from Sanxay), La Rochelle and Tours (about an hour) or Limoges and Nantes (2 hours). Cars can be hired at all these airports.

The TGV runs to Poitiers from St Pancras with either a change at Lille (change platforms) or Paris (change stations). Cars can be hired at Poitiers station.

It is best initially to discuss your travel plans with Jonathan or Annie; arrangements can be made to meet planes or trains at Poitiers.
