The car ferry company Wightlink operates from Lymington to Yarmouth. They also operate between Portsmouth and Fishbourne which is is about 28 km away.

The Red Funnel operates between Southampton and East Cowes for cars and West Cowes for a fast hydrofoil service to Southampton.
