How to get there
Airports: Oporto and Vigo (if you fly via Madrid/Spain).
Oporto airport is circa 85 kms south of Afife and Vigo airport in Spain is circa 75 kms north of Afife.
There are direct flights to Oporto from many international airports or you can fly to Oporto via Lisbon or to Vigo via Madrid.
If you need transportation to and from the airports of Oporto or Vigo we can offer this service by previous arrangement pls consult us about prices. If you fly to Lisbon and then drive north let us know if you want help with your itinerary in terms of suggesting enjoyable stopping points or best routes. it takes 5 hours (with a 30 minute stop on the way) to drive from the center of Lisbon to our gate in Afife.

Getting around
You need to have a car. Public transportation is not very regular in this area. There are about three buses per day to and from Viana do Castelo and two trains pass by going to or coming from Oporto to Vigo in Spain. A small car is the ideal vehicle for these narrow roads. If you can't drive we may be able to negotiate a special arrangement with you and organise driving you to the supermarket, or to/from the beach and restaurants, just ask.
