Cork Airport is just over 50 miles away and is a pleasant drive taking approximately an hour and a quarter. Aer Lingus provide flights from most UK airports. Cork may also be reached by ferry from Roscoff in France. For Roscoff/Cork Ferry see brittanyferries . The property is approximately 60 miles from the Ringaskiddy (Cork) Ferry Terminal. From the UK there are ferries from Holyhead to Dublin and from Fishguard to Rosslare. From Dublin and Rosslare ferry terminals it takes approximately 3.5-4.0 hours to reach Toe Head. Getting around
A car is essential for reaching our beautiful remote location, however, there are local taxi firms and we have left phone numbers for these in the guest information at the property. If you wish to visit the islands off the coast, ferries run all year around and the most up to date timetables will be in the guest information at the property. If you are feeling energetic, there is a bike hire shop on Townshend street in Skibbereen - the roads are quiet and there are many cycle routes.
