Flights from London Heathrow (leaves 11am) to Houston (approx 4pm local time), flight time about 10 hours, and then from Houston (approx 6pm) on to Managua, Nicaragua (arrives about 9.15pm), flight time about 3hrs. Continental Airlines flight costs about £700 traveling via Houston.

The last part of the journey is a 2.5 hour drive down to San Juan Del Sur. If you've reached Managua from Europe then you might wish to stay over night in a hotel in Managua. I recommend the Intercontinental at Metro Centro ($130/night). The hotel has a bus that meets guests at the airport. I have an english speaking guide that can either meet you at the airport and take you straight to Casa Francesca, or can meet you at the hotel the following day to take you to Casa Francesca. Alternatively, you can hire a 4WD car from the Airport (Hertz rental best done on line prior to travel) and make your own way down. I will provide directions for you.

4 wheel drive car rental is essential as the roads are quite steep at Balcones. If you travel down to Casa Francesca with my guide then you can hire a car in San Juan del Sur and the my guide will ensure you get our preferential rate.
