The best way to get to Chiloé is getting a flight from Santiago to the Island's Airport. Dalcahue is a quick 9 km car ride, where you can board directly from the pier. Regrettably flights are not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays and there is only one flight arriving and leaving per day.

On the other hand there are multiple flights arriving in Puerto Montt and Dalcahue is only a few hours away by car, the drive is through a beautiful country side and includes a Ferry ride through the Chacao Channel. Although long it is a rewarding experience.
