Getting around

It is not essential to have a car with you to enjoy Helensburgh - there are two local trains stations connecting Helensburgh to Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and the West Highland Line to Mallaig also passes through the town. If you want to get out-and-about in the wider area - Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and West Argyll - it would be more convenient to have a car.
