It is easy to fly and drive/transfer to Aphrodites! It does not have to be expensive either! For location, please search 35.1906108, 32.9121080 in Google Maps. Easily accessible via border crossings 10km/25km away, or taxi transfer from Nicosia 45 mins, or Larnaca/Paphos. Car hire easily arranged from North or South Cyprus. There are direct flights to Larnaca and Paphos, but you can also simply fly to Istanbul, or Izmir, and take a cheap flight to Nicosia. Closest airport is Nicosia 35 miles, about 50 mins drive. (If flying from UK then Easyjet fly to Izmir. If Istanbul - use Turkish Airways, Pegasus, Atlas, BA.), There are several flights a day costing £25+ from Istanbul to Nicosia ECN. You are best having a hire car but we can easily arrange transfers. Driving is on left. The North / South Cyprus border is just 15 minutes drive at Astromeritis. Alternatively, from Paphos airport, take the scenic route via Polis and Kato Pygros. This takes you along the north coast, (30km) and eventually a twisty road over mountains (20km) until you arrive Kato Pyrgos. Cross the Kato Pygros border, very relaxed - show passport/driving licence and buy insurance 35 euros a month, pass the organic farm, and after 20 km 25 mins you will arrive Gaziveren, and see signs to Aphrodites (3km). This is actually a very pleasant and interesting drive. To summarise, Paphos and Larnaca airports are served by many regular airlines, and flights are frequent. Nicosia is best accessed from Izmir or Istanbul.
