Airplane The proximity of Islantilla to the capitals of Andalusia and the Portuguese Algarve, Seville and Faro respectively, make it an easily accessible destination for visitors from abroad, as both airfields have an important flow of international flights. Faro airport is approximately 90 kilometers away from Islantilla, 25 of which run in Spanish territory, and the rest in Portuguese territory. The total route is made by highway, between the Spanish A49 and the Portuguese Via Infante de Sagres (IP1). The airport of San Pablo - Seville is located about 140 kilometers away from Islantilla, directly connected to this destination through the V Centenario Highway (A49) and the SE-30 ring road of the capital of Spain. Car Access to Islantilla by road is through highways that connect its two parent municipalities, Lepe and Isla Cristina, with the rest of Spain and Portugal. The V Centenario Highway (A49) connects Seville with Ayamonte (on the border with Portugal), and has three different departures that correspond to the Islantilla destination: • Exit 113: Lepe Este. • Exit 117: West Lepe. • Exit 122: Cristina Island. The most direct exit to reach Islantilla by highway is number 117. Taken in the direction of Lepe, it ends at the roundabout that connects with the new A-5076 highway, which ends at Islantilla and La Antilla. To access this destination by conventional roads, from exit 113 it connects with the national road N-431 until you reach the municipality of Lepe, where you will take the A-5056 road towards La Antilla. Once La Antilla is reached, the indications on the left mark the beginning of Islantilla. From exit 122, it also connects with the N-431 national road towards Isla Cristina through the village of Pozo del Camino, which runs along the A-5150 road. Once in the urban center of Isla Cristina, the hull is circled through the North Round, which becomes the Carretera de La Antilla and this, in turn, on the A-5054 road, which flows into Islantilla. A final option is to access through Exit 117 Lepe Oeste in the direction of La Redondela, bypassing this nucleus by the HU-3400 road towards the beach, and turning the roundabout of the beach to the left towards Islantilla at the junction with the A-5054 This last route, like the one that comes from Isla Cristina, makes a stretch in parallel to the beach of Isla Cristina and its coastal forest of pine groves and eucalyptus. From Portugal, the IP1 motorway connects the Algarve with Islantilla from its westernmost end (Cabo de San Vicente) to the border town of Ayamonte, from where it is possible to connect with the A49 towards Seville and take the same three exits mentioned above (113, 117 and 122). Bus To access Islantilla by bus you can check the services of the Damas, SA and Socibús, SA companies. They both communicate Islantilla with the main urban centers of the province and with the rest of Spain. Damas, SA company travels between Islantilla and Lepe, Isla Cristina, Huelva and Seville during several routes a day. These services are increased during the summer season.
