How to get there
Helmsdale is an easy drive up the A9 from Inverness. Follow the A9 from to Wick for approx. 70 miles, the roads are excellent but be careful as there is some twisty bends just before Golspie and Port Gower. Alternatively you can get a train or bus from Inverness to Wick calling at Helmsdale.
The Hoose is right on the harbour in Helmsdale, on a quiet no-through road within feet of the waters edge.
