If travelling from ferry ports further North, Dieppe, Calais or Dunkirk, please consider and factor in the motorway tolls as part of your journey these will cost you about 25 Euro to get to Caen. the majority you will come across on the auto route between LeHarvre and Caen. After Caen you will largely be toll free. You could of course take the scenic route avoiding motorway tolls and enjoy some of Normandy's most beautiful towns, villages and countryside...Fe-camp, Honflur Pont Levec and the coastal route between Honflur and Caen is particularly pleasant. A visit to the historic city of Caen is also worth a visit this was the the thrown of king William the conqueror.
Brecey is accessable by bicycle via Villedieu, bycycles are aloud on trains and the train from Caen stops here.
