How to get there
Travelling by car; Midwood Lodge and Cottage is about 3 miles from Alnwick town centre and is a straight road from the A1 on to the A1068 from Alnwick in Northumberland. Travelling by train; Alnmouth train station is about two-thirds of a mile away. We have a bike shed and so guests who wish to bring their bikes and wish to explore the Northumberland cycle routes are welcome to store their bikes safely.

Getting around
Travelling by car; Midwood Lodge and Cottage is about 3 miles from Alnwick town centre and is a straight road from the A1 on to the A1068 from Alnwick in Northumberland. Travelling by train; Alnmouth train station is about two-thirds of a mile away. The Cottage is walking distance from the train station and so a car is not necessary for your holiday. Guests often travel up to Edinburgh for the day or go down to Newcastle by train. The main London to Edinburgh train route calls in to the little station. The bus stop for the local buses around the coast is just at the end of the long drive and it is easy to visit local sites by bus. Our guests travel to Alnwick, Warkworth, Craster and other lovely villages in the area by public transport.
