A twenty-minute drive over the headland from Gairloch takes you to the little village of Poolewe on the sheltered south side of Loch Ewe where the River Ewe rushes down from Loch Maree.Across the bay from Poolewe are the famous Inverewe Gardens, designed and planted by Osgood Mackenzie.
