From London Paddington to Taunton - journey time approx 2hrs.

By car
Via the M5
Leave the motorway at J23 and follow signs to Bridgwater on the A38. Proceed on the A38, turn right at the first set of traffic lights signed Minehead. Continue until you reach a roundabout where you take the 2nd exit onto the A39. After approx 1m take the 1st exit of the roundabout, following the signs to Minehead and Nether Stowey. Continue for approx 6 miles and at a sharp right hand bend (landmark – The Cottage Inn) turn left to Over Stowey. Proceed for approx 1.5m driving through the village and following the road round to the left towards Crowcombe. You will drive over the Quantock Common and enter the village via the Steep Combe – watch out for roving wild horses, deer and sheep. At the T-junction turn left and Town End Farm is the last house in the village on the right hand side. Drive in through the gates, past the house and park at the rear outside your cottage.

Via the A303
Take the 3rd exit of the roundabout signed Taunton and continue on the A358. When you reach Taunton, follow the signs to Minehead. You will eventually pick up the A358 again. Continue for approx 11 miles until, at the top of a steep hill, you see a right hand turn signed Crowcombe. (Do NOT take a left turn to Crowcombe Heathfield or Crowcombe Station). Town End Farm will be found after 2/3rd mile and is the first house on the left hand side. Drive in through the gates, past the house and park at the rear outside your cottage.
