How to get there
Hydra is one of the closest islands to Athens and therefore one of the most easily accessible and one of the quickest to get to from Athens airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) you can catch a taxi, an express bus or a train to the Athens port of Piraeus. From Piraeus, you can take a Flying dolphin hydrofoil (90 minutes) or a Flying Cat catamaran to Hydra. It is wise to book ferry tickets in advance.
