Being an island, there are just two ways to come here, by plane of by sea. There is only one international airport on mainland Malta. This is linked to most countries in Europe, parts of Africa and the UAE through direct flights with various airlines. Malta can also be reached by a fast ferry (catamaran) from Sicily

Once you arrive in Malta, you need a transfer to Cirkewwa ferry terminal from where you can board the Gozo Channel Ferry to Gozo.

Getting to Gozo from the airportYou can get to Gozo either by ferry from Cirkewwa Harbour or by fast ferry from Valletta.

Normal ferry takes just 25 minute trip and is operated by Gozo Channel Co. Ltd. The company is equipped with three state of the art ferries. Passenger and vehicle service is provided all year round including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays together with a night service throughout the year. Driving your hired car.

If you choose to hire a car, this can either be available at Malta International Airport or at Mgarr Terminal In Gozo. If you decide to pick the car in Malta you then have to drive to Cirkewwa. Just follow the signs to Gozo. It will take you from 30-45 minutes depending on the traffic.
