The house is 3 miles from wonderful sandy beaches at Le Touquet and the same to Stella Plage. Etaples, a small fishing town, no longer operational, is 1 1/2 miles away with many shops and restaurants. There is also a train station there with daily trains to Paris and other locations (EuroDisney). 1 hour from Amiens, a great cathedral city and the same from Lille and Arras. Both have many interesting buildings, events and galleries. A little further south down the coast is the River Somme, interestng seaside towns of Le Crotoy and St Valery with a rich history and wonderful seafood restaurants. Nearby is the well-known bird sanctuary of Marquenterre, a further past St Valery seals can be seen near Hourdon.
