If travelling Northbound along the A470 (A458) past Mallwyd / Dinas Mawddwy, or A487 past Machynlleth, a couple of miles before you get to Dolgellau you will arrive at the Cross Foxes Pub which is on a junction. Take the turning on the junction (opposite the pub) up the lane signposted Tabor, go up this lane for a mile, then take the first turning possible on your left. You will go over a cattle grid and Penybryn is a mile along this lane being the second of two houses. There will be two gates, the first one with the house-sign for Penybryn / Hafod y Meirch – the second one in front of Penybryn itself.

If travelling Southbound along the A494, you will by-pass Dolgellau on your right. About 1 mile further on from Dolgellau, you will arrive at the Cross Foxes Pub which is on a junction.
