Local directions from Abergavenny: take the A40 to Crickhowell and on for a further 8 miles beyond Crickhowell and then turn left on the B4560 sign posted LLangynidr. Follow the road over the river on the narrow bridge and then through lower Llangynidr until you reach a T junction. Turn left onto the B4558 sign-posted Crickhowell and Gilwern. Drive for approximately 200 yards until you see the first crossroads with a sign for the Red Lion Pub on your right . Turn right into Duffryn Road and follow the road through the upper village for about half a mile until you see the cottage directly in front of you next to the cottage called Beaufort.
