The closest airports are Murcia San Javier (30 minute drive to the apartment) and Alicante ( 1 hour 40 minutes drive).There are many flights from the UK. Ryanair, Easyjet , Bmi baby and Monarch are just a few.

'Car Hire'
Driving to the apartment is reasonably easy and is clearly signposted to La Manga. should car hire be your choice. Both airports have many car rental companies operating from them and can be found on the airports' websites.
Sixt, Europa Rentacar, Concordrentacar and Avis are some I have used and advanced booking is advisable at busy holiday times.

Although a car is not essential it does give you greater freedom to see more of the stunning area. My tip: concordrentacar have an office about 3km from the apartment so it is possible to return the car to them after a day or so and re-book for the return journey to the airport. That way you're not paying for the car whilst relaxing at the pool or on the beach.

Taxis
Are situated right outside the door of both Alicante and Murcia airports.Expect to pay approx 150€ from Alicante and 60€ from Murcia to the door of the apartment.
At selected times I can arrange transfer at a slightly cheaper rate.

The Ferry / Cheapest route
From Murcia San Javier airport if arriving between 10am and 6pm. It is possible to taxi , ferry and walk/ taxi again to the apartment at a cost of 20€ for 2 people. Take a taxi to the ferry mooring in 'Santiago del Ribera' which is just 10 mins and 10€ from the airport. The ferry sails every 2 hours until 6pm / 8pm in July and August. There is only one route accross the Mar Menor to Tomas Maestre Marina takes about 30 mins and costs 4€ each. From there it's a 45 min / 4 km walk to the appt.
