How to get there
Alicante-Elche airport is a 45' drive. They have a bus service to Benidorm that runs on the hour (up until 11pm but check their web-site for that). The buses leave just outside the terminal on the departure level, on your farthest right as you come out. Tickets 10€ per person. From the bus station you can take a taxi to the apartment for about 17€. Or check Beniconnect for shuttle service.
The other airport is Valencia, which is further away, about 1 3/4 hours drive. The best would be to rent a car, anything else will be very time consuming.
Altea has a train station, just a few steps from the apartment. The trains run from Alicante, but careful, they don't leave from the main station! Check their website (tramalicante, line L9) in any case!

Getting around
You can do a lot on foot: the nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away, the town center about 8-10 minutes, many cafés and restaurants all around you. There is a bus stop for Benidorm a few minutes away, the train station is 2 minutes away ( but not noisy, it's only a local train). To go to the beautiful old town of Altea, be either ready for a steep walk uphill (NO heels!) A car is only recommended if you want to do day trips or you can book with Local Tours or other companies.
