Guests are sent a welcome pack about a couple of weeks before their arrival which gives directions and important details including the code for the front door keypad (no keys are required) and passwords for the WiFi broadband.

Arrival by car:
Take the outer ring road (A1237) to the north of the city and then take the A19 south into the city centre. At Bootham Bar follow the road round to the right, past the Theatre Royal on the left, and turn sharp left at the traffic lights and proceed down Duncombe Place. Head straight towards the Minster, turn left directly in front of the West Door. In front of you will be two sets of large iron gates and Precentor's Court is to the left of these - No.2 has a light blue door. (For Sat Nav the postcode is YO1 7EJ).

For Sat Nav the full address is No. 2 Precentor's Court, York. YO1 7EJ. Please note that much of the centre of York is pedestrianised between the hours of 10.00am to 6.00pm. If you follow the above directions, you will avoid the pedestrianised area and be able to drive straight to the house.

You can unload the car directly outside the house and there is a free parking permit with directions to the car park on the kitchen table. It's about 5 minutes walk away.

Pedestrianisation:
Much of the centre of York is pedestrianised between the hours of 10.00am to 6.00pm. If you follow the above directions, you will avoid the pedestrianised area and be able to drive directly to the house.

Arrival by train/coach:
Exit the station and turn left, follow Station Road and cross the River Ouse via Lendal Bridge. You can see the Minster from the bridge and just walk straight to the West Door which is the one at the front of the Minster. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk or take a taxi.
