How to get there
There are regularly scheduled flights. Many direct flights from the continental US through Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte, Washington D.C., Atlanta and others through Puerto Rico. From St Thomas, there is a sea plane with several flights per day.

Getting around
Most guests prefer to rent a car and tour the island at whim. It is possible to get along without a car, however, by stocking up on groceries when you arrive and arranging for personal service from one of the many local taxi services. The drivers are easily identifiable at their station near baggage claim at the airport. Rates to hotels and vacation rentals are standardized. Personal service is negotiable.
