How to get there

Balvaig Log Cabin is situated in the village of Strathyre, Stirlingshire, Scotland and is approximately seven miles from Callander and 22 miles from Stirling. This beautiful area of the Trossachs National Park is easily accessible by motorway from the south then by the A84 road from Stirling. The cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, with airports served by budget airlines Ryanair, Easyjet and Jet2, are just over an hour's drive from Strathyre.

Getting around

Travellers from the south M6 onto A74(M) then M74 heading towards Glasgow. Exit M74 at J4 onto the M73 signposted Stirling, Glasgow. Take M80 signposted 'Stirling'. Merge onto the M9 signposted 'Perth'. Leave the M9 at J10. Take 2nd exit A84 on roundabout signposted 'Crainlarich/Callander'. Continue for 25 miles (40 km) through Doune and Callander until you reach Strathyre. From the South via Edinburgh: A720 City By-pass headed for Glasgow M8 and Stirling M9. Take the M8 turn-off towards Glasgow. At J2 leave M8 and take the M9 towards Stirling. Leave M9 at J10. Ferries: Amsterdam to Newcastle upon Tyne (with DFDS) By Air: Both Edinburgh and Glasgow are well served by Ryanair and Easyjet.
