Travelling from the airport or Cape Town, the drive to Fairhill is roughly 2 hours drive over the scenic Sir Lowries pass. Hermanus (famous for its whale watching) is the major town on the route. Just outside Hermanus the drive meanders along the base of the famous Overberg mountains on the left and the Hermanus lagoon on the right. Crossing over the Klein River bridge, you pass by the charming town of Stanford, and Fairhill is situated just 7 km out of Stanford on the R43 coastal road to Gansbaai. The entrance is on the right, marked by a flag and stone wall with electronic gate.
