Fly in to SJO San Jose international airport. Then either take a local 45 minute flight to Puerto Jimenez (Sansa) or drive down to Puerto Jimenez (6-8 hour drive). You can get a car in San Jose or in Puerto Jimenez. Also, local taxis are available if you prefer to not have a car. Having car 'saves' you taxi fare to/from tours.. but are easily arranged too. 4x4 car recommended.

Arrange your international flight to arrive at SJO early-before noon and to depart after noon if you wish to fly locally the same day. Otherwise you'll have an overnight in San Jose area. The local flights only fly in daylight.
