How to get there
Our Welcome Book - part 2 includes directions for driving to the cabin. The nearest airports are in Reno, NV and Sacramento, CA. There is a regional bus service called TART (Tahoe Area Regional Transit). In the summer time, there are trolleys around Tahoe City. Note that in the winter, highway 89 is closed around Emerald Bay, so you cannot get to the cabin easily from South Shore.

Getting around
The easiest way to get around is in your own vehicle, but there is a TART bus that stops along Highway 89 just a few blocks from the cabin. There is also a shuttle to Homewood Mountain Resort in the winter. Buses to local poplular sites like Emerald Bay are in the future plans for our neighborhood. Our driveway accommodates 3 vehicles but only 2 in winter if the snow is deep.
