Getting around
Getting around the area is easiest by car. However, you can catch a train from Salzburg or Innsbruck to Saalfelden which is about 6km from Maria Alm. The postbus 620 runs from Saalfelden to Maria Alm and the bus stop is within easy walking distance of the apartment. You can also get the bus tolocal villages and the larger towns of Zell am See and Saalbach. During the summer months there are plenty of cycle paths that take you all over the surrounding area mostly avoiding major roads.
