How to get there
There are many low fare airlines that operate cheap flights to Lisbon from all over Europe. It takes not more that 2 hours from London or Amsterdam. Once you have arrived, in order to reach the apartment from the airport (Aeroporto) you have to take the RED (Vermelha) Subway, then change at Saldanha for the YELLOW (Amarela) line towards Rato. The Apartment is very close to the subway station in Rato (1 min walking from the "Rua do Sol Ao Rato Exit" ). The property is in a typical XIX. century building with beautiful tile-cover. Getting around
Because this apartment is in the heart of the historical Lisbon, if you like to walk, you can get to almost all of the tourist attractions by walking, but if you had enough, you can buy a “Viva Viagem” Card even with unlimited trips on daily tickets (Bilhete 24h Rede) for the bus, trams, elevators, funiculars, ferries and metro on a very cheap price (even at the airport at arrival).
