Getting around
Cycling along the quiet roads is one of the best ways to see the wildlife and appreciate the views on the island. You can have a well deserved rest at Ettrick Bay for coffee and cake. There are many walks around the island too from West Island way to walking along the promenade. In the summer you can take a trip on the Waverley steamer to Isle of Arran. Buses link Rothesay with Ettrick Bay beach and Mount Stuart house. There are lots of reasonably priced taxis too.
