How to get there
From the USA, there are direct fights on United, American and Volaris. The First class bus station linking all the major cities is located in the same barrio and you can even walk from there. Sadly there are no trains coming into Oaxaca. The very nice super highway that connects Mex City and Puebla is just 6 or 4 hr drive, respectively.
Travel to and from the coast can be done by car or van (6-7 hrs), bus (12-14 hrs) or by plane (45-60 minutes).

Getting around
The best way to get around the historic center is by foot. However, if you do need a taxi for whatever reason please let us know for we can arrange a taxi for you with at least 30 min notice for a local destination or at least 12 hrs before for a day trip. Please use only the NYC type Yellow cabs for they are the most reliable and are the ones sanctioned by the city. Buses are cheap and readily available but they do take longer but is perfect to experience the local scenery and experience.
