How to get there
The main route to Skye is the A82 over the bridge. The alternatives are the car ferry from Mallaig to Armadale (calmac) or, if you have plenty time, the seasonal and very dramatic Glenelg car ferry to Kylerhea (skyeferry) giving a taste of how crossings were around 60 years ago.
