How to get there
We will email you a detailed map and instructions for navigating from Liberia or from San Jose (other parts of Costa Rica if you are already here) once you have a confirmed reservation. If you have a GPS enabled map app, you can simply type in CASA KALANA and it will drive you to the house. We also include our local telephone contact in case you have any difficulties.

Getting around
A rental car is highly recommended if you are here for more than one week. Bicycle rentals can be organized for exploring the area as well. Bus travel is daily into Santa Cruz, but with a rental car, you can be there and back with your shopping by the time the bus arrives in Santa Cruz, a real time saver when you are on vacation. Most of the area restaurants and stores are within a 10 minute walking distance, but carrying groceries back home can be a bit daunting for the uninitiated. Local taxi service is also available. Let us know about your plans and desires before you arrive so you minimize any downtime.
