The area is best explored with a car. For those who choose to fly, both Bordeaux and Bergerac are within 1hrs drive and from these airports car hire is possible.

The nearest train station is Marmande, which is just 20minutes in the car from the Manoir. Bordeaux is on the Paris train line, so it's also possible to Eurostar from paris down to Bordeaux and hire a car in Bordeaux.

For travel from the UK by car, you can choose from a range of Ferry ports including Calais and Dieppe. Dieppe is a slightly shorter drive (around 6.5hrs). Or Eurotunnel to Calais from Folkstone.
