How to get there
To get to Montserrat, you have to travel via Antigua and then either get the ferry or the small plane (6 seater). Check the Fly Montserrat website. The ferry is not recommended in the winter as Montserrat has only a very basic port and the ferry cannot dock in high seas. Antigua airport is a challenge! Remember to pack essentials such as medication, toothbrush and swim wear in your hand luggage. We can help with car hire and will meet you at airport in Montserrat. Getting around
There are no other amenities or shops within walking distance, so a hire car is strongly recommended. There is ample parking on the property. You must get a local driving licence from the Police Station before driving - you must produce your driving licence from your own country & the fee is EC $ 50. We can help you with that. Alternatively, there are buses which run fairly regularly on the main road throughout the daytime - the main road is up a hill from the house and is about 20 minute walk.
