There are direct flights to the island during the holiday season from a number of European countries. There are also 5 flights a day from Athens to the island with these flights lasting less than an hour.

The drive from Mytilene to Eresos takes you through some spectacular scenery. The road which has been upgraded over recent years goes through pine forests, alongside the stunning Gulf of Kalloni and then through the impressive rocky mountains leading to Eresos. As you drive towards Eresos there are impressive views towards the coast.

If you wish to take a break en route Kalloni provides a convenient stop where you will find plenty of coffee houses and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops.
