How to get there

The Isle of Anglesey is just 65 minutes drive from Chester, 90 minutes from Liverpool and less than 2 hours from Manchester!The A55 dual Carriageway brings you all the way to Anglesey, and once over the bridge, Cerrig y Barcud Holiday Cottages are just ten minutes drive awayAt the end of the Bridge, keep well in to the left and immediately fork left, following brown signs to Anglesey Sea Zoo and sign for A5.After 1/4 mile, turn sharp left at the white cottage, A4080, signs to Brynsiencyn, Newborough and the Sea Zoo.Continue for about 4 miles until you reach Brynsiencyn (30mph sign).At the junction by the Y Groeslon pub/hotel (on your right), bear left and leave the main road following the signs for the Anglesey Sea Zoo and Foel Farm ParkWhen you reach the sea, the road turns right onto a “promenade” along the waters edge.Continue past the entrance to the Anglesey Sea Zoo and on a further for 300 yards, then turn sharp right at the white house; signposted (A4080).Follow the road up the hill and on the left after 300 metres, you will find Cerrig y Barcud Holiday Cottages.There are two driveways, take the second one to the cottages.

Getting around

We recommend that you have use of a car during your stay to make the most of your time on Anglesey and nearby Snowdonia. There are however bus and trains that may be useful if for example you plan to walk sections of the coastal path, and then get back to your starting point Train In addition to the main train station at Holyhead, there are request stop stations at Valley), Rhosneigr, Ty Croes, Bodorgan, and Llanfairpwll Bus Numerous bus services run to all the coastal towns on the island, and regular services run around the north coast of the island on the A5025, and slightly less frequently on the A4080. The only places with infrequent services are the north west and north east corners of the island
