If travelling on the A623: Approximately mid-way between Baslow and Chapel-en-le-Frith take the B6049 for Tideswell. Keep on the main road through Tideswell untill you pass Darkbrook Pianos on your right, 100 metres futher on turn right onto Richard Lane. Go to the top of Richard Lane where the road narrows and turn right, then in 30 metres turn left. Stay on this country road for 3km. and you will see a sign for Monks Rereat by a copper beach tree and our cattle grid.

If travelling on the A6: Approximately mid way between Buxton & Bakewell take the B6049 for Millers Dale. Stay on the B6049 for 2 miles untill you see a white wooden bungalow on your left and then just ahead bear left onto a single track hill. Ascend this hill for approx. 500 metres pass the drive to Bank Top and in 20 metres you will see our sign to Monks Retreat. Turn sharp left over our cattle grid.
